Announcing the 2011 Supernatural Fan Endeavor for A Dog’s Life Rescue
March 1, 2011 - SupportSupernatural.com is thrilled to announce its 2011 Supernatural Fan Initiative supporting A Dog’s Life Rescue, an animal welfare organization in Los Angeles supported by Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki.
SupportSupernatural.com was founded as a way to generate interest in and attention for Supernatural while also benefitting worthy organizations. In two years, the web site has raised over $50,000 for A Dog’s Life Rescue.
The 2011 campaign is a 10-month initiative with a $30,000 fundraising goal. Donations may be made at www.SPNangelsforanimals.org. Checks made out to “A Dog’s Life Rescue” will be accepted as well. Contact heatherandlindsay@supportsupernatural.com for a mailing address.
Creation Entertainment has been kind enough to sign on again as a sponsor and will be providing 10 prize packs for the cause.
“We know we can meet this goal! We exceeded our $30,000 goal last year and we encourage fans to donate in small chunks. Each month, we will have a new prize pack. Anyone who donates $10 or more will be entered to win. We’ll only need a total 300 fans to donate $10/month during the 10 months to meet that goal. We can do it!” said Lindsay Warren, Support Supernatural co-founder.
Heather Vitas, Support Supernatural co-founder, added, “Supernatural has millions of viewers tune in each week. We just need a fraction of that massive audience to get involved in the cause to raise $30,000 for A Dog’s Life Rescue. For the cost of a convention photo op ($100), five animals can be vaccinated against deadly diseases. Every person who works for A Dog’s Life Rescue is a volunteer, so you can be comfortable knowing that all the money you donate goes to the animals!”
“The funds raised by Support Supernatural and the Supernatural Fandom over the past couple of years have been crucial in allowing A Dog’s Life Rescue to keep our doors open, continue our rescue efforts and save lives. We don't know what we would have done without the support of the Supernatural fans...We are truly grateful to them,” said Allison Lange, co-founder of A Dog’s Life Rescue.
The fundraiser will conclude on December 31, 2011. Please visit SupportSupernatural.com for more information on A Dog’s Life Rescue and come back monthly for exciting incentives to donate.
