Bodi

Site Sized_Bodi

Bodi is such a sweet, sweet and social boy! He's great with all people, other dogs and cats. He is a fantastic companion for someone single or a family. He's a total lovebug! He was given up by a woman who had moved into an apartment bdg that would not allow her to keep him. When we first got Bodi his fur was matted to the skin so he got a good shave right away. He was so sweet and offering kisses even as he trembled with fear not understanding where his family had gone. Since then he has completely blossomed and is such a character. He seems to just want to love everyone. Please let us know if you can open your home to this social, sweet boy.

Bootsy

BOOTSY 01042010

Bootsy is a very handsome and affectionate teenager who loves to be held for lots of love and kisses and gives you little meows to let you know what he is thinking. Tragically Bootsy was a victim of a hoarder who not only refused to spay/neuter any of her cats but then left them all behind when she moved. We rescued Boosty from this situation but he still needs a forever home. He deserves a home full of love. He is shy at first due to everything he has been through but it only takes a couple of days for him to start to feel comfortable... despite everything Bootsy's been through he is still seeking love. To adopt or foster this handsome boy

Cody

Site Sized_Cody

Cody is such a sweet gentle soul. He is shy with people he doesn't know but once he knows you he is a love bug. He would be a good dog for more of a homebody because he does get nervous in new situations. But walks are good for him, and will continue to build his confidence. Cody is great with other dogs. He's also good with older kids. Young kids might be over-whelming for him. Cody is around 4 years old and a very handsome boy

Penelope

Site Size_Penelope

Pretty Penelope is another sweet baby who has lost her home to divorce. Initially adopted as a tiny puppy from the shelter she is now a year old and doesn't understand why her owners don't want her anymore. She tried so hard to please them and make them happy. She played with the other dog there and she loved their six year old son but it didn't seem to matter how loving and well behaved she was - they just didn't want her. Penelope is so pretty and such a gentle spirit. She used to get a bit scared and shy at the adoption but is getting much better. She can be nervous at first with new guys but once she knows you she loves you. All she wants to do is please and have a warm and loving home that she can call her own forever. We call her the velcro puppy for how bonded she instantly became to the volunteer who rescued her! Penelope weighs about 45lbs, is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Penelope and would like any additional information please contact Email Lisa here or call her at 213-500-0671.

Estaban

Site Size Esteban

We rescued Estaban from a high kill shelter in Los Ageles. The workers at the shelter loved him and sent out a plea to us for help in saving his life. Estaban had been kept in the back at the shelter because he had an injured leg so the only hope for him was for a rescue to take him in. When we got him out, he needed FHO surgery on his injured leg right away but is now healing very well. This boy is super sweet and very well mannered. He needs a foster home asap so he can heal and get ready for adoption.

Taz

TAZ 01042010

Taz is an 13 month old pure bred English Labrador Retriever. His owners are sad that they have to find him a new home but they have to move and can't take him with. Taz is sweet and playful. He does need leash training and a diet (he is over-weight right now because he really loves food:). Taz is an active dog with lots of energy so would do best in an active home. He lives with another dog now and likes other dogs but can be over-whelming to them because of his size and excitement level when meeting them. But with some training, he will be better at this. He really responds well when we started working with him on leash and seems very smart.

Phoebe

PHOEBE 01042010

Little Phoebe was rescued when we received a call from a DWP worker who had been leaving food for her for 6 weeks while she fought to survive on the streets downtown. She was very afraid but we managed to get her to safety. Since then she has blossomed. What an incredibly sweet girl. Even with everything she has been thru she is gentle and sweet with everyone.
When alone and on the streets she was injured. We don't know how but her pelvis was broken. It healed on its own but in a way that the bones fused together too closely and it is sometimes difficult for stool to pass. So to help her Phoebe does need to receive daily stool softeners in her food. This is a very easy process and is not expensive. It is a little extra needed for her but the love and companionship she gives back is so rewarding it is all worth it.
